FG announces Friday and Monday to be public holidays in honor of Eid il-Fitr 2023

For the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr, the federal government has declared Friday and Monday as public holidays.

For this year’s Eid el-Fitr celebration, the Federal Government has designated Friday, April 21, and Monday, April 24, 2023 as public holidays.

On behalf of the Federal Government, the proclamation was made on Wednesday, April 19, in a statement by Interior Minister Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

The minister thanked all Muslims on finishing the fasting month of Ramadan successfully.

“The self-restraint, self-denial, sacrifice, and deep spiritual consciousness that accompanied the fasting period should not end, but be maintained and improved upon, in order to be a better person and true worshipper,” he stated.
