Cristiano Ronaldo surpasses Haaland and Mbappe to become top scorer in 2023
Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to become the top scorer of 2023.
Ronaldo scored two goals for Portugal against Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 16, 2023, taking his tally for the year to 40 goals.
This put him ahead of Erling Haaland (39 goals) and Kylian Mbappe (35 goals) to make him the top scorer in the world in 2023.
It is remarkable to see Ronaldo score so many goals, especially at the age of 38. His goalscoring abilities are truly impressive.
He has shown no signs of slowing down, and he continues to be one of the most prolific strikers in the world.
Haaland and Mbappe are two of the most promising young players in football, and they are both destined to achieve great things.
However, Ronaldo is still the benchmark for world-class strikers, and he is showing no signs of giving up his crown anytime soon.
Ronaldo has been crucial for Al-Nassr this season, helping them win their first-ever Arab Club Champions Cup title. He is also the leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League.
Haaland has had an impressive season, leading Manchester City to win the treble in the 2022/23 season and currently topping the Premier League scoring charts.
Mbappe also helped Paris Saint-Germain to win the Ligue 1 title last season, and he is currently the leading scorer in the French league.
